then when you're finally together i think the romantic stuff becomes the every day stuff in theory
cause you spend every day openly in love with them and don't have to hide it
so anything you do for them is technically romantic because it goes from

immature puppy dog pandering to genuinely "i want to do this for you and with you because of you" which is actually way more romantic in my opinion

That makes a lot of sense and I feel a lot better. I tried to flirt with him the other day and honestly, the only thing I could think to say was that he filled my brain with oxytocin, which while true is not romantic at all. I'm trying to work on that.
