I went home recently. I was in a... weird cocoon here. I didn't remember this place back home. Not the town, not the people. Nothing. I can't let that happen permanently. Ergo, I'm going to the hotel for any scrap of an answer I can get in making sure that doesn't happen.

I've seen those cocoons. I'm sorry, they're incredibly unpleasant. I had no idea how traumatic being jerked back and forth like that must've been. Will you at least take several adults with you? I don't doubt you can take care of yourself, but better to have them and not need them than need someone to call for help and be on your own.

I don't remember being in the cocoon at least. It made a mess of my bed and that's about it. It scared Fern more than anything.

I don't know how many adults are still here, and all you have to do is take a few steps outside and you're lost from what I understand. There's no guarantee one can find us.

Besides, we CAN take care of ourselves. I don't see how much more help an adult would be.

I haven't been in one myself, but one of my family was. When he woke back up it was very tempting to spray the sheets down. With fire. Body shield? No, don't take that seriously.
