That's... I see your point and I understand where your coming from. I just feel like I have to do something. Even if I can't make things between us, I can at least try to not make things worse. I doubt she's going to stop regardless but she's just going to fight all the harder if she thinks she has to go through a bunch of people to get to me.

[She tries her hardest to do that. It's not always an option but hasn't been fire balled in the face time for trying at least.

She gives a half hearted little smile at that.]

Thanks. I got to see them both again. One of the small upsides to being here, I guess. And the other is still here but I guess I'll be seeing them again when I go home too.

It's weird and it doesn't make it hurt less but it's a silver lining.

[She brightens up slightly at that comment.]

I can think of worse people to be stuck with. I think I can begrudgingly accept that.

[God, she is so like Rapunzel. He never understands where she can pull such undiluted goodness from. It's not an effort for her- she's decent and kind because it just comes naturally to her. He's a little envious of her ability. It's precious, and should be kept safe.]

[He's just going to have to be the cynical asshole waiting to help when it all comes tumbling down- ready to help her back up again and hope it doesn't destroy that precious part of her in the process.]

[It's just who she was. It's not like she'd even take a whole lot of credit for it. She was more likely to chalk it up to her role models or friends for her being the way she was.]

They were properly dead as far as I know and the best way that they could describe it too. They were just able to get jump start back into things. It's something I get to look forward to figuring out when I get home.
