[Oh well, that's a welcome gift indeed! Varian's going to send a message because this is honestly wild to him. He's not used to getting multiple birthday gifts.]

Hey Danny, thanks for the gifts! I'm gonna learn SO MUCH about tractors. Maybe I can even work on one in Stardew Valley? You know, when things are a little less crazy.

It will! I've always been curious how far farming has gone since my time- maybe I can learn about new crop rotations, stuff like that! And I love the tools, this can fit right into my pocket so I never have to worry about being without tools again.

[He doesn't feel like he's EARNED gifts this time around, much less from Danny, but he appreciates it so much. It makes him hope that things might eventually be normal again. ]

I know for sure that a lot of the technology has changed.

Maybe? You wouldn't want to compromise the integrity of the tool, but I'm sure something could work!

Maybe! I wouldn't need the actual blade or tool coated, I think. Just something to cover the handle.

Hmmm, that's true. That's a lot workable! Maybe some..latex? That might work? Though it might be too thin.

Maybe a double or triple layer? I'm not sure how thick it would need to be.

Sounds like there's just more experiments to do once things are uh... quieter.

[Because Danny refused to believe that there would be any other outcome to this situation. They'd deal with Zodiac, and it would be safe for Varian to come out of hiding again. They'd be able to meet up again and do dumb science experiments.]
