[On Varian's birthday, there will be a delivery left at his door. The delivery contains a carefully decorated raccoon themed cake, portioned out bags of treats for Varian's raccoon and his pokemon, and an extremely durable coffee travel mug.

There is no name attached to the gift, per usual, but Varian can probably guess who it was.]

[Varian can absolutely guess who it is from, and he appreciates the gifts very much. Ruddiger and the pokemon are doubly so, as they to steal every potioned bag, thus negating the whole point of potioning. THAT was a fun half-hour of chasing them around.

As is their custom, Varian does not directly say thank you for this gift. He does, however, send Ruddiger to stare creepily through Jun's window for a spell. Thanks, Pal!!! ]

It was late when Jun was about to relax with a few episodes of anime before going to bed, when he senses a presence watching him. He pulls back the blinders to see Ruddiger. Staring at him creepily. He immediately knows who it is, he'd recognize that asshole raccoon anywhere.

....

Well then. Anime will have to wait bit.

After he manages to wrangle Ruddiger with some luck, he'll deal with him as he sees fit. Which means, keeping him Yoichi's cage until it's an hour when he knows even Varian would turn in for the night.

And when that hour approaches? Above Varian's head, a small portal of light will open up.

Right before Jun tosses the raccoon straight into the portal and shuts it behind him]

Varian wasn't too concerned when Ruddiger was late home. The raccoon usually goes around scavenging the trash around the city or romancing the various lady raccoons he can find. Varian doesn't like to think about it, honestly. He leaves the horrible creature do his horrible deeds.

Which is to say he was not expecting this assault on him as he was settling down to sleep. As the portal closes, Jun gets the satisfaction of hearing Varian SCREAM as a pissy raccoon drops on his face.
