could you, hypothetically speaking, make a small bomb? how long would that take?
[He’s staring at the prophecy post right now and thinking about how his magic ice bombs might not be enough for whatever’s coming.]
no subject
YES!!
I mean, sure. I could for sure build a bomb. How long it takes depends on how potent you need it to be. Also, do you want it to just explode or do something else?

One one wants to accidentally lose a hand! Ha Ha.
no subject
how much do you want for it? i know it'll take a while so i want to compensate you fairly.

[A year ago, he would have insisted on doing it for free, desperate to validate the multitude of second chances he's been given- feeling he owes the world what he can do for nothing in return. He's finally moved past that- long as it's taken him to do. ]
I'll get to the drawing board and send you an invoice once I have an idea of what it'll cost. I can get them done in a pretty short length of time at least. I don't have anything major going on now finals are over.
no subject
oh? how'd finals go?
no subject
Pretty good! I'm waiting for my results and then I'm hoping to take a few classes in college along with my POKEGO work.

hey, if you ever need any extra credits, you can come work for my gaming studio. we've got a lot of programmers but we wouldn't say no to an engineer. i'll compensate you also with actual money—i've been an unpaid intern before and it sucked.

Oh thanks! I admit the... coding and general electronics parts are where I struggle a little, so I'd appreciate the leg-up on that one.
no subject
i’ll help get you up to speed on those. honestly, sometimes i forget people struggle with modern-day tech, i’m so used to it that it seems intuitive to me. it’ll be good to have the reminder.
btw if i do start spouting off about technology and you get lost in all the jargon, stop me any time. [He very carefully does not say anything about spouting off about fishing.]

Great! Thank you. It's something that's always been kinda tricky for me. I mean, I've been in this world for nearly two years now so I'm way better than I used to be, but it's something I for sure need to work on.
Hah. I'll hold you to that one. Don't worry, I'll let you know if you lost me- you could probably tell by the staring into the middle distance I'd be doing.
[He has accepted all fishing talk is just gonna be what it'll be. ]

"blackberry" is a phone brand btw. they were smartphones with keyboards like you'd see on a computer. used to be popular, then other smartphone brands started getting better and better and blackberry just never managed to keep up.
you know, it's funny, i'm more than familiar with people staring into the middle distance while i talk.

[Varian remains the youngest boomer to ever be.]
Is it from all the fish talk?

if they still worked i'd tell you where to get one, but they went defunct two years ago. all their software doesn't work anymore, you'd just have a fancy brick on your hands. sorry.
yes.
no subject
I wish I could say I'm surprised- technology seems to go defunct so quickly in this time period. It's so weird. People move on fast.
Thought so. That'd about go it for most people.
no subject
call it a shortened attention span. people like new things, but something will be new for only so long.
fishing is fun though.
no subject
Sure. I never really did much of it. But it looks relaxing?
