They've been heading towards this for months but knowing that doesn't make it any easier. He's torn between trying to desperately steer this away from the inevitable pile of jagged rocks their little ship is headed towards and just... letting it be. He knows what the better option for both of them is. The less selfish option, the one they have a better chance of surviving as individuals- but it's not the same one that lets them survive as a couple. Both don't exist on the same plane of existence.
