Ever since his comments on Pride, August has been a constant information source for Varian on queer issues. He helped Varian understand his bisexuality and helped him get together with Fern. He deals with all of Varian's weird questions valiantly and Varian's pretty sure he wouldn't be half as comfortable in his own skin without the man's input.

Oh He's A Little Bit Fucked Up Actually

An ex-professor in the college. Apparently, he's a demon of some sort. Usually a pretty chill guy, he just sometimes disassociates and commits atrocities. A freakishly good shot who has saved Varian's butt more than once. Varian just wishes he calms down a little with all the murder. Moxxie got murdered by Zodiac and came back to life again which is weird, but Varian's glad the dude is still with them.

Sorey
The shrink is in

Varian's therapist and PokeGO mentor. Sorey's help has been absolutely immeasurable in getting Varian to a better place mentally. He knows he still has a long way to go, but Sorey's patience and coping mechanisms have made it so Varian at least has the tools to start working on his self-loathing and grab bag of other mental health problems. Thanks to Sorey, Varian's starting to believe he IS allowed to have nice things and give himself a better life.

Vash
Is he like, okay?

Guy from the crappiest crapsack world there is. Despite that, he's relentlessly optimistic and always a listening ear to provide some great advice. Reminds Varian a little of Rapunzel which is deeply comforting. Vash also let Varian shoot at him once because the guy dodges bullets with math which makes him super cool!
