He's a friend of mine back home. Pretty much like a brother to me. He used to be a thief, hence the lockpicking. He hasn't done that for years, though. He's... good people.

[He misses Eugene a lot. Team Awesome really isn't all that awesome with just one member. Or, in fact, a team of any description.

With the well-practised air of someone who's used to being around nigh-constant destruction, Varian casually sidesteps a little, just in case the door drops. When it doesn't, he lets out an appreciative whistle. ]
